ABOUT US
From the hills of West "By God" Virginia, the state born of the Civil War,
 YANKEE T'S & MORE's
goal is to bring the Union side to the world of Civil War T-shirts and other fun items with unique designs by Civil War artist Nick Korolev,  a member of both the Sons of Union Veterans and Sons of Veterans Reserve.  Cartoon designs are in keeping with the Union Army's ability to laugh at itself and patriotic themes that support Northern Heritage are all part of the mix.  New designs will be added often to the on line catalog. Custom designs for Union reenacting and living history units and SUV camps are also available. A new addition is our hunting themed shirts for all the outdoors people out there who enjoy a WILD sense of humor with WILD LIFE . This is a small print on demand shop with a small stockpile of items, but all orders will be put out in a timely manner and shipped UPS.  Customer service matters to us and should a breakdown in equipment or other unforseen circumstance cause a delay in production and shipping, the customer will be notified immediately by phone or e-mail and order sent as soon as the issue is rectified.  It is our hope in the future to add other items including decorative tiles and plaques.
"It is time for some Northern exposure."

HISTORICAL FACTS
Though it is not our purpose to take a political stand, we do not approve of the revisionist history that is currently popular.  The volitile political atmosphere of that era over cause  of the war and the US government's right to "invade" is quite simple and not a tale told by "the winners" of the terrible conflict.  Putting aside the slavery issue for the moment, the Southern states could have taken their "states rights" grievances to the Supreme Court.  At the time, in that judicial body the majority of judges were Southern sympathizers.  However, they did not, though it is very possible the political hot heads would not abide by an adverse decision on their perceived right to secede.  In the Supreme Court case in 1869  White vs Texas it was proven that both then and before the war secession was illegal. And as to any question of who owned Fort Sumter, the South Carolina legislature in 1839 sold the land the fort was constructed on to the US government.  The hostile act of firing on the fort not to mention other Federal installations taken throughout the South before Fort Sumter that include the state of Georgia taking Ft. Pulaski BEFORE they seceeded, were all blatant acts of war justifying the US invasion of the rebellious states.  The guilt of the 650,000 deaths in that war lies on the doorstep of those who chose to shoot first and ask questions later and not Mr. Lincoln or the US Government.
